About Ange Marsden

Ange Marsden is a writer, motivational speaker and online business advisor based in Nelson, New Zealand. She is the author of  several blogs, articles and eBooks about business, motivation and weight loss. A Workplace Anthropologist trained at Canterbury University, NZ, Ange specialises in understanding workplace culture to improve customer service, training systems and staff performance.

At the age of 19, Ange travelled the world solo; she has worked as an archaeologist in the UK excavating a Saxon burial ground and translated Middle Kingdom texts in the pyramids of Egypt.

Three years later she made the decision to lose some weight off her 110kg frame and within two years had lost over 35 kgs without dieting or paying for an expensive gym or weight loss programme. Having kept the weight off for over 6 years she spent a year researching and understanding how she lost the weight and shares the wisdom gained from her journey in her weight loss blog which focuses on creating a healthy, happy and sustainable lifestyle.

In 2009, Andrea became homeless, jobless and broke and in that year travelled the full length of New Zealand in a home-built campervan, gained graduate qualifications in business management and started her first business. Today she talks to audiences about bouncing back from life's disasters, starting a business and effectively making massive lifestyle changes.
