Maybe you're after a part time income of a $100-$200 a week (for shoes and parties...) or want to add an extra $1000 a month to your mortgage but don't want the burden of a second job with a second boss, a second pile of troubles...so now you need to know how to find a network marketing business.
Network marketers love the flexibility of the role. They can go out for their morning walk and deliver fliers, they can pop up posters and cards when they go down to the mall and chat to people they meet pretty much everywhere. If you layer on top of that a solid internet marketing programme you could soon find youself in the position of many marketers who realise their "part time job" is earning more than their "real job"
So how do you find a network marketing business to join? What do you look for in a network marketing business? Lets have a look at some of the criteria you need to investigate:
First of all ask around. See if your friend, hairdresser, neighbour or aunt's gardener's daughter is already in an MLM business. Look for someone driving a nice sports car with "Work from Home" on the back - after all if they're driving a car like that whatever they're doing must be working! You want to find a person who is a leader in their MLM business; someone who can teach you to be a leader too. Have a look on FaceBook at their profile or even try googling their name - if you google Ange Marsden you'll see what I mean. Once you find a business mentor talk to them and ask them the following questions:
1. Who is your upline? (Who would be my upline if I joined?)
2. How did you make your money? What marketing skills have you learnt? Are you familiar with online marketing as well as offline?
3. When did you make your money? There are some great marketers out there that made their fortunes 20 or more years ago which is great but it does mean they were working with a different economy and technology to you. Be aware they might not be as up to date with todays marketing techniques as a newer network marketer
4. How well does your downline do? Have they built an ace team? Do they have a motivated downline with members that have overtaken them? Great! It's one thing to be a great business person but even better if you can inspire others to equal or even exceed your success
Next you need to look at the products. If you aren't already using them get onto it!
1. Do you like the products?
2. Are you getting any benefits from them? Do they make you feel and look good?
3. Would you reccommend them to your best friend if you weren't making any money from them?
You will be a MUCH better salesperson if you love the product you sell. If you've lost 10 kilos or 10 wrinkles, gained energy, saved time or improved your life you can't help but tell people about it and your enthusiasm will be contagious. The most important sales tools you can have are sincerity and enthusiasm. People don't care that your formula has 93 chelated minerals but they will kill for whatever made you lose that 10 kilos and feel more energetic than their 2-year old.
Getting down to details: Training
1. What training is provided? (They say "everything" what do they mean?)
Does your MLM provide:
- one on one training
- videos
- handbooks
- eBooks
- webinars
- regular meetings with other distributers
- online marketing training
- advertising material and prewritten copy
- national and international events where you can network and learn
- personal development training
So now you know how to find a network marketing business go with your gut and once you make your mind up GO! commit fully to your new enterprise and realise like any business it will take time to build. Your supervisor's job isn't to make money or generate leads for you but to show you how. Successful people make decisions quickly and once they make them they stick with them until they are successful. People who fail tend to dither over the decision and make a half-assed commitment where they go hard out for 2 or 3 weeks and then give up declaring the system a "failure" and a "scam". It doesn't matter how good your chosen MLM is; if you don't put an equal amount of effort back into it you won't see the success your upline did.
